1. Cloudless Sulphur Butterfly
The cloudless sulphur butterfly, also known as the sulphur butterfly, is one of the types of yellow butterflies found in the regions of the mainland United States, mostly seen in the eastern and southern portions of the western United States; however, it was spotted as far as nada. The scientific name is Phoebis sennae, which is derived from the Greek god Apollo’s sister, Phoebe, and “Sennae” has been derived from its favourite host plant, Senna, a member of the pea family. The avarage wingspan of the sulphur butterfly is between 2 and 3 inches, and there is some sexual dimorphism between male and female sulphur butterflies.

2. Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly
The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly is one of the most common eastern butterflies, where individuals can be seen anywhere east of the Mississippi River and a bit farther west into the Great Plains states. These large insects can grow their wings between 8 and 14 cm (3 and 5.5 inches) from tip to tip. Talking about the coloration, they have vibrant colours. Yellow wings are edged by black and have four stripes, whereas male species can be identified with darker blacks and none of the bluish and red scales on their hind wings. The Eastern Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly is the state butterfly of Alabama, Delaware, Georgia, and South Carolina.

3. Western Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly
The Western Tiger Swallowtail is a beautiful yellow butterfly with black stripes that looks similar to the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail and can be distinguished by location. The wingspan is between 7 and 10 cm and is mostly seen in flight between June and July. Talking about the appearance, the upperside of the hindwing has an uppermost marginal spot that is yellow or lacking, and the underside has a forewing with separate yellow spots forming a marginal band. They love to thrive in a region equipped with rivers and streams, wooded suburbs, canyons, parks, roadsides, and oases.
4. Two-Tailed Swallowtail Butterfly
The two-tailed swallowtail is a species of large butterfly that can be found in western parts of North America and Central America. It is mostly visible in the summer months, mostly in urban areas instead of in the wild. Talking about appearance, the upper surface of the male forewing has narrow black stripes, and each hindwing has two tails. The avarage wingspan of the two-tailed swallowtail is between 9 and 12.7 cm, and in the flight from May to mid-August in the north and the north of the year in the south.

5. Little Yellow Butterfly
The Little Yellow is one of the types of yellow butterflies mostly found in parts of North and Central America. They are small arthropods mostly seen in the old fields on bright sunny days. The variable wingspan is between 32 and 44 mm, and the flight pattern is fast and erratic. They lay eggs, which are bright yellow to cream in colour, and lid them singly in close clusters. The diet of an adult little yellow butterfly is composed of flower species belonging to the genus Aster.

6. Common Birdwing
Common Birdwing is Singapore’s largest butterfly; however, it is a forest or jungle species, but it can also be seen in our local parks and gardens. The male species has golden yellow hindwings with black margins; however, the female species has a full series of large black sub-marginal spots. It is mostly seen from northern India to Hong Kong, through Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore, to the Indonesian islands. The butterfly species is protected until Wild Animals Protection Ordinance Cap 170 in Hong Kong, is protected in Indonesia, and may also require protection in peninsular Malaya.

7. Sleepy Orange
Sleepy Orange is one of the types of yellow butterflies that belong to the family Pieridae. Talking about the appearance, the upperside of the wings is orange in both males and females, and the forewing has a small black cell spot. The male species can be identified with sharply defined black borders on the outer and costal margins, and the female species can be identified with borders that are not so well defined. The wingspan of sleepy orange is between 3.5 and 5.7 cm, and they are in flight all year around in southern Texas and the Deep South.

8. Giant Swallowtail
The giant swallowtail is a beautiful yellow butterfly that is abundant in Florida. These butterflies are widely distributed throughout the American continent, and their range extends from southern New England across the northern Great Lakes states, into Ontario, through the southern portions of the Central Plains, to the Rocky Mountains. The favourite actor plants of giant swallowtails are milkweed, lantana, butterfly bush, zinnias, and many others. Their favourite host mats include citrus, lime, Hercules Club (Zanthoxylum clava-herculis), prickly ash, citrus, lime, herb rue, hoptree, and wild lime.

9. Dina Yellow
The Dina yellow is one of the yellow butterflies that belongs to the family Pieridae. Talking about appearance, the male species of Dina yellow is orange-yellow with a very narrow black border on the outer and costal margins of the forewing. The female species can be identified with the help of a black forewing tip; however, the underside of both sexes has three black spots on the hindwing. The wingspan is between 3.2 and 5.7 cm, and they are in flight throughout the year in southern Florida.

10. Canadian tiger swallowtail
The Canadian Tiger Swallowtail belongs to the family Papilionidae. The avarage wingspan of these species is 6.7–8 cm, and they are in flight from May to mid-July. They are found in North America, from central Alaska southeast across Canada and the northern Great Lakes states to northern New England. Talking about appearance, these butterfly species are more malleable than Eastern or Western Tiger Swallowtails; however, the uperside of the forewing comes with broad black stripes, and the underside part has marginal yellow spots merged into a continuous band.
