Purple Nudibranch, also known as shell-less snails or sea slugs, is named after its tufted gills as “nudibranch,” which comes from Latin or Greek words that mean “naked gills.” The animal pecies is popular for its bright coloration and is found in Western Pacific Ocean coral reefs, ranging from dark purple to bright white. The marine species was described from Hawaii and has been reported from the Marshall Islands and Kure Atoll.

2. Ochre Sea Star

The Ochre Sea Star is one of the beautiful purple animals; however, they are seen in orange and brownish-red colours as well. They want to thrive and be seen in the regions of rocky, shallow intertidal shores of the Pacific coast from Alaska to California, especially in nearshore and estuarine waters. The primary diet includes mussels; however, they also feed on snails, limpets, chitons, clams, sea urchins, dead animals, and plant materials. The average lifespan of the Ochre Sea Star is up to 20 years in the wild.

Purple Climber Crab found in the Indo-West Pacific can grow up to 4 cm in length. These are specially loved to thrive and are seen in the scuttling over prop roots, tree trunks, and other wooden structures. The scientific name of the Purple Climber Crab is Metopograpsus Spp, and it never climbs high. It also likes to dwell between the crevices of rocks at breakwaters. They use their pincers to scrape off algae, but they will eat anything else they can get hold of and overcome.

Violet-Backed Starling is one of the purple birds, also known as Amethyst Starling and Plum-colored  Starling, which can group up to 7.0 in (17.8 cm) in length. The primary diet consists of fruit and insects, which are caught by gleaning them off of trees or catching them in flight. These purple animals mate for life and live in small flocks until mating season. The breeding range includes Africa south of the Sahara and hence listed as one of the beautiful African birds in the world. Amethyst starlings inhabit mountain cliffs, savannah woodland, gardens, and bushland near fruit trees.

5. Yellowstriped Fairy Basslet

The yellow-striped fairy basslet is one of the purple animals that belongs to the family Serranidae. The animal species was defined in 1927 by Herre and Montalban. It is distributed across the Indian Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and prefers habitat in continental coral reefs and outer reef slopes between 2 and 35 metres in depth. Yellowstriped Fairy Basslet can grow up to 12 cm in max, and its primary diet includes planktonic crustaceans and fish roe. The species can be identified clearly by its bright colours and distinctive swimming pattern.

Pacific Purple Sea Urchin is distributed across the Pacific Coastline, from Alaska to Cedros Island and Mexico. The dietary habit is omnivore in nature and commonly referred to as roe. They are capable of walking on the ocean floor with the help of their tube feet, and with these feet, only this species breathes. The average lifespan of the Pacific Purple Sea Urchin is up to 20 years, and the breeding months are January, February, and March. The diet consists of predators, including starfish, otters, and humans.

The Violet Ground Beetle is one of the largest species in the UK and can measure up to 20–30 mm in length. The beetle species can grow up to 20–30 mm in length, and their primary diet consists of insect larvae, slugs, snails, and worms. The breeding season is autumn, and eggs are laid singly or in small groups within the soil or organic matter and hatch within 1-2 weeks. The beetle species belongs to the large Caribidae family group, which consists of 362 species in the 2012 edition of the British list.

Magnificent Sea Anemone is one of the purple animals that lives his entire life in polyp form. It is the second-largest in size of all sea anemones and can grow up to 3 feet (1m) in diameter. They have strong senses, and in case of danger, they warn other anemones about the predator by releasing a chemical into the water. Theoriamry diet consists of amphipods, isopods, mussels, plankton, sea urchins, shrimp, and small fish. The most unique feature of Spanish shawls is their neon-coloured bodies, purple-pink bodies, orange fringe, and two red rhinophores atop their heads. The diet of the Spanish shawl consists of hydroids, a family of invertebrates that are related to sea anemones, jellyfish, and corals.

The orchid dottyback is a small saltwater fish and a beautiful purple animal believed to have originated in the Red Sea; however, now it is present in many aquariums across the world. It is one of the amazing purple aniamls because of the deep purple skin of an orchid dottyback along with black stripes. They prey on brine shrimp, Mysis shrimp, bristle worms, krill, and pellet fish food. The average lifespan of Orchid Dottyback (Pseudochromis fridmani) is between 5 and 7 years in the wild.
