Brachiosaurus is one of the dinosaurs with long necks that roamed between 156 and 145 million years ago during the Jurassic period. It can grow up to 80 feet long, and its average weight is up to 28 tons. The name of the dinosaur comes from Greek words meaning “arm lizard” because its forelegs were longer than its hind legs. Intuitively, it is believed that the dinosaur species lives in water because of its size and nostril holes, which were on top of its skull, sort of like a snorkel.

2. Isisaurus
Isisaurus is a dinosaur species that existed from the Maastrichtian Age to 66 million years ago and lived in a terrestrial habitat. The dietary habit was herbivore in nature, and it reproduced by laying eggs. It was named after Jain and Bandyopadhyay in 1997. Isisaurus is a medium-sized sauropod that can grow up to 18 metres (59 feet) long and weigh 15 metric tonnes (17 short ns). The species has been defined under the classifications of Chordata, Reptila, Dinosauria, Sauropodomorpha, Sauropoda, Titanosauria, and Antarctosauridae.

3. Camarasaurus
Camarasaurus is one of the dinosaurs known for its long necks, which were loved around 155 and 145 million years ago. These species are smaller than other sauropods, such as Brachiosaurus and Brontosaurus. They also have a long skull and spoon-shaped teeth evenly placed along the jaw. There are some findings by Michael D’Emic’s that suggest that Camarasaurus teeth were replaced every 62 days on average. The first remains were found by Oramel W. Lucas in 1877 in Colorado. The name Camarasaurus comes from the Greek words “kamara,” meaning ‘vaulted chamber, and “sauros,” meaning ‘lizard.’

4. Anchisaurus
Anchisaurus is a dinosaur species that existed on earth in the early Jurassic period. It is a small dinosaur but has a long neck that can grow up to 3 to 4 metres in length. The avarage of dinosaurs is most recently grouped under primitive sauropods. Existence is estimated to have occurred between 199 and 189 million years ago. The organ name is from Greek origins, where the prefix ‘anchi’ translates to’related’ or ‘close’ in English. The suffix ‘-saurus’ is derived from the Greek word’sauros’, which means ‘lizard’ in English. Thus, the name ‘Anchisaurus’ denotes ‘a’related dinosaur’.

5. Haplocantosaurus
Haplocantosaurus is among the dinosaurs with long necks that lived in the Jurassic period and inhabited North America. The fossils have been found in the regions of Colorado, Wyoming, and Wyoming. It is believed to have existed between the Kimmeridgian Age and the Tithonian Age. As per fossils, it is approximately 1745 mm long and wide, and its average weight is up to 14528.6 kg. The species is reproduced by laying eggs, and seven different specimens have been found by palaeontologists.

6. Mamenchisaurus
Mamenchisaurus is an herbivore dinosaur that lived in the Jurassic period and inhabited Asia. The fossils of the species have been found in regions such as Chongqing (China), Govi-Altai (Mongolia), and Sichuan (China). It is believed that the species existed from the Upper Jurassic Epoch to 112.03 million years ago and prefers terrestrial habitat. Mamenchisaurus reproduces by laying eggs, and around 24 different specimens have been found by paleontologists. They are known for their long-necked, long-tailed, four-legged, and plant-eating dinosaurs. It is said that they had the longest neck of any known dinosaur except the newly found Sauroposeidon, and it can grow up to 46 feet (14 m). It had 19 vertebrae in its neck, more than any other known dinosaur had.

7. Diplodocus
Diplodocus is believed to have lived around 154 to 150 million years ago, in the late Jurassic period. It is believed to have existed in the same period as the Stegosaurus dinosaur and the Allosaurus. They have powerful back legs, and the body will be balanced by the long, heavy tail. They are plant eaters and are perfect at stripping the leaves from ferns. It is the longest known dinosaur that can grow up to 27 metres (88 feet), and its average weight is up to 12 tonnes (as much as a large truck). The neck could go up to 6m (20 ft), and its long tail had 80 vertebrae.

8. Dreadnoughtus
Dreadnoughtus is one of the new dinosaur species, was recently discovered, and is one of the largest land animals ever to walk the earth. The name of the Dreadnoughtus comes from its huge size and is named after dreadnought battleships, where the words “dread” (fear) and “nought” (nothing). The full name of the species is Dreadnoughtus schrani, and it lived in the late Cretaceous Period. The body length is up to 26 metres (85 feet), and the avarage weight is up to 60 tonnes, which is around the weight of 7 elephants. The dinosaur classification is sauropod, and since they are so huge, they must be safe from predators.

Argentinosaurus is an herbivore dinosaur that lived in the Cretaceous period and inhabited South America. Fossils have been found in places such as Argentina. Argentinosaurus was named after the nation of Argentina where it was discovered; the species is among the largest verifiable genera of dinosaurs ever known. It is believed that the enormous creature is around 100 feet long and weighs more than 80 tons. It is also depicted in the arts as similar to many sauropods, with a long neck and tail protruding laterally from a stocky body on four stout legs. Apatosaurus is a sauropod dinosaur that was believed to have lived in the Upper Jurassic period. It can grow up to 21 metres long, 4.5 metres tall at the hip, and weigh up to 23 metric tons. The dietary habit is herbivorous in nature and feeds primarily on plants. The bines have been found in the regions of Wyoming, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Utah. The enormous body was supported by sturdy, tree trunk-like legs. Apatosaurus’s neck and tail were incredibly long. Both the head and brain are in contrast to the body. In its mouth were peg-shaped teeth with sharp, chiselled tips for eating vegetation.
