Black Thrush grows around 24 to 25 cm long and weighs 70 to 110 grams. It is found in the sparse mountain forests, bottomland forests, and the mossy scrub Tundra of Western Siberia, Northwest Mongolia, and Eastern Europe. The male Black Thrush has a black throat while the female Black Thrush has black patches on the entire neck. Steller’s Sea Eagle weighs almost 5 to 9.5 kg and can grow nearly 34 to 41 inches long. It is found in the rivers and the sea coasts of Russia, Korea, and China. Golden-crested Myna is one of the black birds with yellow beaks that comes with a yellow head and a small yellow patch on the wing converts. It can grow upto 21.59 cm (8.5 in.) in length with an average lifespan between 15 to 20 years in the wild. The bird can be seen in the regions of Cambodia, China, India, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is scientifically known as Ampeliceps coronatus which loves to thrive in subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests however, they are also seen in the heavily degraded former forest. 14. Yellow-billed Loon

Yellow-billed loons scientifically known as Gavia adamsii belong to the family Gaviidae. This is the largest member of the loon family and even it is larger and heavier than the Common Loon. It feeds ma mainly on fish and it is also believed that it feeds on plant material as well. The bird species can grow between 838 to 920 mm and the average weight is between 4 to 6.4 kg. The total wingspan of the bird species is between 361 to 395 mm. It is also known as a white-billed diver and primarily feeds on crustaceans, mollusks, and annelids, especially for its young. The average lifespan of the yellow-billed loon is between 20 to 30 years in the wild.

Great Curassow is a pheasant-like bird mostly seen in the regions of eastern Mexico, through Central America to western Colombia and northwestern Ecuador. It can grow between 78 to 100 cm (31 to 39 in) in length and its average weight is between 3.1 to 4.8 kg (6.8 to 10.6 lb)—the rare one of the best birds in maintaining the health of the forest by dispersing seeds. 16. Ross’s Turaco

Ross’s Turaco is a medium-sized bird that comes with a long tail along with broad and round wings. It can grow between 37.5 to 45 cm (15 to 18 in) and its average weight is less than .45 kg. Ross’s Turaco primarily feeds on plants and fruit, however, occasionally they eat insects too. The average lifespan of Ross’s Turaco is between 5 to 9 years in the wild. As of now,  28 species of turaco are known to humans and all are native to equatorial Africa. These are social birds and are usually seen in groups or flocks of upto 30 individuals.

17. American robin 

The American robin is the state bird of Connecticut, Michigan, and Wisconsin and one of the birds chirping at night. The scientific name of the bird is Turdus migratorius and lives across North America and in parts of Central America. It prefers to thrive in open grassy areas, gardens, and woodlands. The primary diet includes earthworms and berries, however, birds also snack on insects, such as caterpillars and grasshoppers. The natural predators of the bird species are Snakes, hawks, and cats, howvever,  Squirrels, blue jays, crows, and ravens eat American robin eggs and chicks. 18. Double-crested Cormorant 

The double-crested cormorant primarily feeds on fish and hunts by swimming and diving. The feathers of the bird species are not waterproof and it spent some time drying them out after spending time in the water.  The looks of one of the black birds in Florida is a solid prehistoric-looking, heavy-boned fishing bird of matte-black with yellow-orange skin on its face. Looking like a mix of a lion and a goose. These are diurnal birds and can be seen in large and small groups at the breeding grounds.

19. Spotless starling 

The spotless starling is a passerine bird that belongs to the starling family, Sturnidae. The bird species is closely related to the common starling and commonly seen in the regions of the Iberian Peninsula, Northwest Africa, southernmost France, and the islands of Sicily, Corsica, and Sardinia. The dietary habit is omnivorous in nature and feeds primarily on animal food such as various insects, but also tiny frogs and toads, lizards, and small rodents. The avarage lifespan of spotless starling is between 2 to 3 years in the wild.

20. Golden-headed Manakin 

The golden-headed manakin is a small passerine bird that breeds in the regions of tropical Central and South America in both wet and dry forests, secondary growth, and plantations. The bird species is upto 3.7 in (9.4 cm) long and weighs 0.44 oz (12.5 g). The male species are entirely black apart from a golden head, yellow bill, white and red thighs, and pink legs, however, females and juveniles are olive-green with pink legs. The avarage lifespan of Golden-headed manakin is upto 10 years in the wild.

21. Yellow-knobbed curassows

The Yellow-knobbed curassows are primarily seen in the forests of Colombia and Venezuela in South America. They mostly thrive near river valleys and water holes during the dry season, or in grassy areas called Llanos. The name of the bird species comes from a male’s beak, called the “cere”. Females can be distinguished from males by their black beaks.  The avarage lifespan of Yellow-knobbed curassows is upto 25 years in the world. The primary diet includes fruit, seeds, and insects.
