Technology has become an important part of our life and scientists are using this technology to discover new and great things. Out of them, space is always a fascinating area in which astrologers wish to discover more and more. Here is a list of some of the biggest objects in the universe.

Biggest Objects In The Universe

1. Largest Asteroid- Ceres

Having a flat sphere with a diameter of 965 kilometers, Ceres is the largest asteroid in the universe now and was discovered in 1801 on 1st January by Giuseppe Piazzi. Also known to be a dwarf planet, Ceres is having a length similar to that of California and has a pebbly core.

About one-third mass of the intact asteroid’s belt is contained by Ceres and almost 9 hours and 4 minutes are taken by it for one intact rotation. Some scientists believe that life can subsist on Ceres when the existence of water ice was known on it. Even though it is the largest asteroid but it still appears dim and is not so bright.

2. Largest Moon- Ganymede

Found in 1610 January, with a diameter of 5267 kilometers, Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system and is even larger than Pluto or Mercury planets. A part of the 63 moons present inside Jupiter is Ganymede and it was found by Galileo. Its vast size of it can make it a planet but its revolving feature of being around a planet not the sun has made it a satellite. Made from just rocks and ice water, Ganymede is known to have a weak but its own magnetic field. Able to be a residence for the aliens, Ganymede is having a thin covering of ice along with some oceanic surfaces.

3. Largest planet- Jupiter

Because of the massive diameter of 173762 miles, WASP-17b is the most giant planet known and was explored on 11th August 2009. Known to be the prime planet with a retrograde orbit, WASP-17b is present at a distance of 1000 light years from the earth. Around this planet, its stars move in an alternate direction from other stars of the universe. This inflated planet has the partial weight of Jupiter but the radius is doubled by that of Jupiter. On proper observations, the presence of sodium and potassium was felt there.

4. Largest galaxy- IC 1101

Around 6 million light-years distant galaxy known as IC1101 is the biggest galaxy in the entire universe. Being 50 times bigger than Milky Way, IC1101 was known to be created by the clash of many other galaxies and has more than a hundred trillion stars and dark material inside it. Also renowned as A2029-BCG, this galaxy was explored in June 1790 by Frederick William Herschel. With the presence of so many stars in it, this galaxy appears very bright and shining. Some stars of this galaxy seem golden-yellow being even older than the sun while some have high metal content.

5. Largest Black Hole: TON 618

TON 618 is the largest black hole in the universe now that has a mass equal to 66 billion suns and the Super-Massive Black Hole at the center of our galaxy is only 4 million solar masses. The expected radius of the black hole is 1300 AU (where an AU is a distance between the Earth and the Sun, about 8 light-minutes). The luminosity of the black hole is equivalent to 140 trillion our suns. The absolute magnitude is -30.7 and the apparent magnitude is 15.9. The constellation of TON 618 in Canes Venatici.

6. Largest Void- Bootes Void

Bootes Void is the largest known void in the universe till now and has an approximate diameter of 0.27% of the observable Universe. It is colloquially referred to as the Great Nothing and has a spherical region of space seen in the vicinity of the constellation Bootes that contains few galaxies and hence the name. The center is located at an approximately right ascension of 14h 50m and declination at 46°.

7. Largest Quasar Group- Huge-LQG (U1. 27)

Quasar is actually the nuclei of galaxies in the universe which go through intense brightness due to which it is visible across a great distance. In 1982, a large of quasars joined together to form a large quasar group or LQG. With the highest width of 4 billion light years, Huge-LQG is the biggest Quasar Group in the universe. Lighting this cluster of 73 Quasars takes 4 billion years to cross this cluster. Yes, the scale of LQG can’t be calculated but it is definitely the largest structure known in the world. Not only its size but this LQG challenges cosmological principles which are accepted worldwide.

8. Largest Cosmic Structure: Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall

With a massive diameter of 10 billion light years, Hercules-Corona Borealis Great Wall is the biggest thing present in the intact universe. Having extremely big size and age, it is the gravity that is holding this cluster of galaxies. It was discovered in 2013 by some astrologers who were actually looking for Gamma Ray Bursts.

That is why it is also known as the Great GRB Wall. According to Physics, the most powerful radiations are the Gamma Rays, and their high radiations are responsible for collisions of stars and many explosions. Its rays are so powerful and intense that only in some seconds release incredible energy which ultimately results in the explosion of the stars into black holes.

9. Largest Rin Structure: Giant GRB Ring

With a diameter of 5 billion light years, Giant GRB Ring is a ring found by astrologers which contains nine gamma ray bursts. It is circular and is the only object for which special distribution in-universe is known. GRB is the second-largest known cosmic structure and was discovered in July 2015. Scientists believe that GRB can release energy in a few seconds and for the same amount of energy, the sun requires over 10 billion years.

10. Largest exoplanet: GQ Lupi b

GQ Lupi b also known as GQ Lupi B is the largest exoplanet orbiting the star GQ Lupi. The discovery was made in the year 2005. This is one of the first exoplanets that is directly imaged alongside 2M1207b. The mass is equivalent to 20 Jupiter and it will take around 1195.9 years to complete one orbit of its star. The radius of GQ Lupi b is 3 times Jupiter and the orbital radius is 100.0 AU (AU is the distance between the Earth and the Sun). It is one of the biggest objects in the universe.

11. Largest star: UY Scuti

UY Scuti is the largest universe in the universe located in the constellation Scutum. It is discovered in the year 1860 by German astronomers at the Bonn Observatory. The artifacts revealed that the mass of the Sun is 7 to 10 times more massive than our Sun and the approximate radius is 1.700 times larger. The largest star changes its brightness, however, it can be viewed from Earth as a pulsating star.

12. Largest Nebula: The Tarantula Nebula

One of the biggest objects in the Universe, The Tarantula Nebula also known as 30 Doradus is the largest nebula in the universe and is a part of a local group of galaxies. The area of the sky is densely packed with stars in the various stages of life of star clusters. It was first observed by an observatory located in Africa’s Cape of Good Hope. The size of the tarantula nebula is more than 100 times the size of Earth. The diameter of the largest nebula is approximately 1,000 light years.

13. Largest empty spot: Supervoid in Eridanus

Supervoid in Eridanus is the largest cold empty spot and largest structure known to humanity. The constellation Eridanus is a massive spot along with a cigar-shaped void in the cosmic web which is approximately 1.8 billion lightyears wide. The mass in the region contains 30% less matter than the surrounding galactic region.

14. Largest galactic farts: Fermi Bubbles

Fermi Bubbles are massive blobs that has been discovered in the year 2010 with the help of the Fermi space telescope. They are only visible in certain wavelengths of light and researchers believe that these Fermi bubbles are the result of an ancient feeding frenzy which is a galaxy’s central black hole and that results in enormous belches of energy.
