1. Camel

Camels are one of the unique-looking long legs animals with a big-lipped snout and a humped back. It is believed that they have been domesticated since 3,000 years ago and even till now, humans are dependent on camels for for transport across arid environments. Camels can carry an extra payload of 90 kilograms while walking 32 kilometers (20 miles) a day in the harsh desert. The avarage lifespan of camels is between 40 to 50 years in the wild.

2. Moose

Moose is one of the animals with long faces and is among the largest species in the deer family. They are mostly seen in the regions of North America, Europe, and Asia.  Teh average lifespan of moose is between 15 to 25 years in the wild. Almost all Moses have a pendant of fur-covered skin which is 30 centimeters (12 inches) long known as a bell, hanging from the throat. The color of the fur is either brown or black and provides excellent insulation from the cold. The dietary habit is herbivore in nature and feeds on plants or fruit.

3. Okapi

Okapi is one of the coolest animals also known as the forest giraffe, congolese giraffe or zebra giraffe is an animal species that is native to the northeast of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa. These forest animals from Africa are more closely related to the giraffe and prefer to thrive in altitudes between 500 to 1,000 m. The avarage lifespan of Okapi is between 20 to 30 years. Talking about the appearance, they have a long neck along with large and flexible ears.  The ears can rotate independently which helps it to listen for sounds both in front and behind. It is also listed as one of the animals that live in the forests.

4. Saiga Antelope

Saiga Antelope is one of the animals with big lips and medium-sized horned animals mostly seen in the regions of Central Asia of southwestern Russia, Mongolia, and Kazakhstan. The avarage lifespan of Saiga Antelope is upto 12 years in the wild. It can be easily identified with the help of its swollen snout with downward-directed nostrils. The coat of the antelope species is short and pale brown in summer and thick and whitish in winter.

5. Baboons

Baboons are one of the ugly monkeys that belong to the genus Papio. As of now, five species of baboon are known to humans such as olive, yellow, chacma, Guinea, and hamadryas that is scattered across Africa and Arabia. The avarage lifespan of baboons is up to 30 years in the wild and up to 45 years in captivity. It is among the largest monkeys in the world seen in the areas of open woodlands and savannah, with some found in tropical forests. The primary diet is grass, however, they also feed on pods, roots, blossoms, fruits, sap, and bark from a variety of trees and plants.

6. Aardvark

Aardvark is one of the animals with big noses found throughout sub-Saharan Africa, except for the West and Central rainforest regions. The avarage lifespan of the Aardvark is upto 18 years in the wild and up to 23 years in captivity. The skin of these skinny animals is very thick and protects them from biting ants, and even aardvarks may sleep in the ant nests they have recently excavated for feeding. These animals with no necks can be easily identified with the help of a long nose, which is wider at the end, and a tail that tapers off toward the tip.

7. Baird’s Tapir

The Baird’s tapir is one of the animals with long faces native to Mexico, Central America, and northwestern South America. It is also known as the Central American tapir and is listed among the three species of tapir native to the Americas, as well as the largest native land mammal in both Central and South America. The body length is between 1.8 to 2.5 meters and the average weight is between 150 to 400 grams. The avarage lifespan of Baird’s tapir is upto 30 years in the wild. It can grow between a hieght of 73 to 120 cm with a top speed of 48 km/h.

8. Pig-nosed turtle

The pig-nosed turtle’s scientific name is Carettochelys insculpta is a turtle species native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea. The body length is upto 70 cm and the avarage weight is upto 20 kilograms. It is the only living member of the family Carettochelyidae which is related to the softshell turtles. Talking about the appearance, thier feet is like flippers that resemble those of marine turtles.  The nose looks like that of Ping having the nostrils at the end of a fleshy snout hence the name. The primary diet includes fruits,  leaves of figs, as well as crustaceans, mollusks, and insects.

9. Giraffe

The giraffe is one of the forest animals from Africa that lives live primarily in savanna areas in the sub-Saharan region of Africa. These long neck animals is the tallest mammal in the world at an average height of around 5 m. The avarage lifespan of a Giraffe is upto 25 years in the wild and even longer in captivity. The color markings on each giraffe specie is unique and hence they are listed as one of the popular animals with spots. The natural predators of giraffes are lions and crocodiles.

10. Giant Anteaters

Giant Anteaters is one of the animals with long faces that can be found in Central and South America. As of now, four species of anteaters are known to humans namely, giant anteater, silky anteater, northern tamandua, and southern tamandua. The avarage lifespan of giant anteaters is between 2 to 14 years in the wild, however, they can live upto 26 years in captivity. It is also listed as one of the animals with the thickest skin in the world.
