1. Kodiak bear

A thick fur coat covers its entire body and enables it to live in a harsh environment. It is the largest subspecies of a brown bear feeding on species, fruits, nuts, and small animals.

2. Kangaroo

Kangaroo is over 2 meters in height and weighs around 90 kg. Kangaroo is a well-known marsupial as it lugs its young one in a pouch. Its young one is known as Joey. It can hop around 71 km in an hour, which is much faster than a horse. It chomps grasses, shrubs, plants, flowers, and herbs and necessitates very less extent of water for endurance.

It is a vastly social animal that favors subsisting in clusters of more or less 40 members and is known as pods. It can be well identified by its black and white color. It adores chasing everything and noshes on sharks, small fishes, and countless sea animals.

6. Kori Bustard

Kori Bustard is a popular African bird that can grow 105 to 128 inches tall the male weighs 15 to 40 while the females are 12 to 13 lb in weight. It is found roaming in the grass plains of Africa. It has a life anticipation of around 26 years. Its body is covered with grey-brown feathers and has a white chin, throat, neck, and belly. It has a large head, long yellow legs, and a yellow beak and eyes. It is an omnivore species feeding on various beetles, grasshoppers, lizards, scorpions, snakes, and many more small insects. 7. Kangal Shepherd Dog

One of the animals that start with K, Kangal grows about 29 to 34 inches and grows and weighs 55-65 kg. it is found casually on the farms of Turkey and Sivas. It is a life anticipation of 10 to 12 years. it has a muscular and long body covered with sand-colored fur, a wide head, a twisted tail, black fur around the mouth and ears, and white patches on the chest, toes, and chin. Krill can grow up to 1.01 cm to 14.9 cm long and weighs 1.01 grams to 2.01 grams with a life expectancy of just 6 months. It is found generally in the oceans of Cosmopolitan. It looks like an alien with a transparent or pinkish body, four antennas, ten swimming legs, 12 legs for food, and nine moth parts.

It moves very slowly in water covering merely 120 or 240 inches every minute. Surprisingly, the krill has the ability to lay more than 10000 eggs just at a time. Krill mostly eats various aquatic plants, some algae, and water insects. Many organisms like whales, fishes, penguins, birds, and sharks are reliable on krill as a food source.

9. Keeshond

Keeshond grows up to 16 to 19 inches tall and weighs 50 to 65 lb. It is found in the plains of Holland, America, and Germany. It has a life expectancy of 12 to 15 years. Keeshond is a super adorable and cut dog with a fluffy fur coat of grey, cream, and black fur. Its soft fur makes it lovable to handle and hold. It is an active and family-type dog. It gets nourishment from fruits, fish, and vegetables.

10. Keel-billed Toucan

Keel-billed Toucan is one of the most colorful birds in the world that can grow as long as 17 to 22 inches and weighs 380 to 500 grams and is also called the rainbow-billed Toucan. It is found normally in tropical, sub-tropical, and lowland forests of Latin America, Mexico, and Colombia. It has a life anticipation of 15 to 20 years. 11. Key Deer

Key Deer scientifically known as Odocoileus virginianus prefers to thrive in pine rocklands, woodlands, and wetlands. It can grow between 24 to 32 inches and the average weight is between 44 to 85 pounds. The average lifespan of key deer is between 7 to 9 years in the wild. Key deer is the smallest North American white-tailed deer species and hence they are also known as toy deer. They are endangered species and can be only seen in the large herbivore of the Florida Keys.

12. Kiko Goat

Kiko Goat scientifically known as Capra aegagrus Hircus and was originally created as a crossbreed between dairy goats and feral goats. These fat species are very friendly and have a self-regulating coat which means it does not require to be sheared between seasons. The goat species was developed in New Zealand in the year the 1980s. They come in almost any color but the most common color is white. Kiko goat species are horned breeds and can develop long horns when they are growing up. The average lifespan of a Kiko goat is between 8 to 12 years in the wild.

13. Kinder Goat

Kinder goats were originally developed in the year 1987 by the Showalter family by cross-breeding a Nubian doe with a Pygmy buck. The purpose of developing a breed was dual that is milk and meat. The kids of the kinder goat were born with a weight of approximately 4 or 5 pounds and grow rapidly at a rate of about 7 pounds per month.

Kinder goat is an American breed of domestic goat that originated on a farm in Snohomish, Washington. The goat species is of moderate size that can grow between a height of 20–26 inches for dogs and 20–28 inches for bucks. The average wieght of does and buys are respectively 115 lbs and 135 lbs. The average lifespan of the kinder goat is more than 15 years.

14. King Crab

King crabs are one of the types of crabs of enormous species known to humans that belong to the group of decapod crustaceans. As of now, 120 species of ing crabs are known and most of them are found in the warm waters of the Southern Hemisphere. It can reach  11 inches in width and its average weight is between 10.5 to 24 pounds.
There are a few species with a leg span of 6 feet. 

Talking about appearance, most of the king crabs are dark red, golden-orange, or brown-bluish colored. The large body is covered with a thick, armored shell and has five pairs of legs. The unique fact about king crabs is that they cannot swim and used to move on the ocean floor using their long legs. The avarage lifespan is between 20 to 30 years in the wild.

15. Kingfisher

Kingfisher is one of the small to medium size birds that belong to the Kingfisher family. As of now, 87 species of kingfishers are known to humans that can be divided into three major groups such as river kingfishers, tree kingfishers, and water kingfishers.  These bird species can be seen across the world and have the greatest diversity in tropical areas. It can reach between 4 to 18 inches in length and the average weight is between 0.33 to 16 ounces.

Talking about its appearance, most of the kingfisher species are blue or green-colored with orange or reddish-colored chests. The dietary habits are carnivorous in nature and feed on fish, crayfish, frogs, and snails. The natural enemies of kingfishers are foxes, raccoons, cats, and snakes. The average lifespan is between 6 to 10 years.

16. Kinkajou

The kinkajou is one of the popular animals that start with K and belongs to the family of raccoons. As of now, 7 subspecies of kinkajou can be found in southern parts of Mexico and in Central and South America. It can grow between 16 to 30 inches in length and have an average weight of between 3 to 10 pounds. The tail of a Kinkajou is usually long and lies between 15 to 22 inches.

Talking about their appearance, they have wooly fur that comes with a golden outer coat and gray undercoat. They have large eyes, small ears, and short legs along with sharp claws on their feet. The kinkajou is also known as a honey bear because it looks like a bear cub that likes to eat honey. The average lifespan is between 20 to 25 years in captivity.
