Fennec fox grows up to 7 to 16 inches tall and weighs 1.50 to 3.52 lb. it is found in arid regions, deserts, and grass or shrub vegetation of North America, Sinai, Arabia, and the Sahara desert. It has a lifespan of around 11 years. Fennec fox is one of the cutest animals in the world with a cream or brown thick and soft fur coat, a brown tail with a black ending, and unique big ears.

It is easy to identify it with its large ears. Its ear and fur coat not only adds beauty to it but also help it to survive in harsh conditions. It feeds on a variety of insects and animals like lizards, birds, grasshoppers, fruits, and leaves. It runs at a pace of 20 miles per hour. Fennec fox is an omnivore species depending on plants, bushes, shrubs, small insects, lizards, grasshoppers, birds, and locusts.

2. Flying fox

The flying fox is 11-13 inches long and weighs 1.4-2.4 lb and has life anticipation of 15 to 30 years. It is found in Mangrove forests, marsh, and tropical forests of Southeast Asia, Australia, and Madagascar. 4. Flounder

Flounder is a type of flatfish and there are around 30 species known to humans. These species are mostly seen in the tropical and temperate coastal waters of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. It can grow upto 5 to 25 inches in length, however, females are larger than males. The color of the body indicates the emotional state of the flounder. Friesian Horse is one of the most graceful animals that is between 58 to 68 inches long and weighs about 1200-1400 lb. It has a life expectancy of about 25-30 years and is found in farms, fields, and pastures of South Africa, the UK, the USA, Germany, and Belgium. It looks beautiful with its mane and tail along with silky feather-like hair. It is the most beautiful horse with black hair all over its body. It runs at a speed of 55 mph and eats quality grass, hay, and grains. It is not treacherous and is tough, trustworthy, joyful, and tranquil in nature.

A frog can grow up to 1.9-14 cm, weighing 7 to 9 g with a life expectancy of 5 to 10 years. It is bright green, grey, or brown with soft, sensitive, and smooth skin. It is found everywhere in rainforests and tropical regions except Antarctica. It nourishes crickets, flies, ants, etc.

A frog generally does not drink water rather it absorbs the water through its skin. A frog has a 180-degree vision which allows it to see in front, sides, and slightly behind also. 7. Flat-tailed Dwarf Lemur

Flat-tailed Dwarf Lemur is about 12 to 27 cm long and weighs 30 to 460 grams living up to 23 years.  It is generally brown, white, and grey and found in the evergreen and deciduous forests of Madagascar. It has a long tail, thick fur, and thin ears. Its huge eyes facilitate its night vision and it feeds on fruits, leaves, insects, and shrubs. It hibernates in holes in the tree for about 7 months. Like all other animals, it hibernates to conserve its energy during the time when fruits and food are not available.

8. Fiddler crab

Fiddler crab weighs 1 to 2 kg and is 2 to 3 inches tall. It is found in a burrow, mudflats, and salt marshes of West Africa, Western Atlantic, and Indo-pacific. It has a life expectancy of about 3 years. Fiddler crab has brown, red, white, and black bodies with large claws which look beautiful while moving. It is an omnivore eating various plants, shrubs, algae, bacteria, shrimps, and detritus. Fennec fox is also eaten as food in many places.

9. Feist

Feist is a species of dog weighing 6.8 to 9.07 kg and is 10 to 18 inches tall. It is found casually roaming on streets, pet shops, and homes of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. It has a life anticipation of 15 to 18 years. Feists can have rough or smooth skin with various color mixtures like black-brown, brown-white, or black-white having long legs and ears and a medium-sized body. It is an energetic and omnivore species of dog chasing other animals and vegetation as prey.

10. Frilled shark

The frilled shark is one of the animals in the Mariana trenches and weighs about 91 kg the male has a 38 to 67 inches long body and the females are 52 to 79 inches long. It is found generally in the deep water of the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. It can stay alive for approx 25 years.

The frilled shark has thick brown and rough skin, a long body, a round short snout, long jaws, and six gills present around the neck resembling a neck collar. It prefers lying in water folding its body. It is a carnivore feeding on small aquatic organisms like octopuses, squids, small sharks, and bony fish.

11. Fallow Deer

Fallow Deer scientifically known as Dama dama can grow between 1.3 to 1.8m in length and its average weight is between 31 to 63kg. The average lifespan of fallow deer is between 8 to 16 years in the wild. These deer species are most common in the Mediterranean regions of southern Europe. The diet of fallow deer includes grass, leaves, bark, nuts and berries, and fungi. There are no natural predators of fallow deer and grow to around 90cm tall. These deer species are widespread across England in the regions of Wales, southern Scotland, and Ireland.

12. False Widow Spiders

The False Widow Spider is the most dangerous spider in Britain because its bite is very dangerous and can cause serious as a wasp sting and it can cause a mild systemic condition known as steatodism. The symptoms include general malaise, muscle pain, cramps, and in rare cases palpitations, however, he is not deadly. This spider species was mostly seen indoors and preferred to stay in outbuildings such as toilet blocks, sheds, and conservatories. The body length of the spider species will go upto 15mm and a leg span of nearly 35mm.

13. Fangtooth Fish

Fangtooths are one of the unique animals that start with F that belongs to the family Anoplogastridae that is seen in the deep sea waters. The fish species has the largest teeth compared to its body size. The natural predators and threats include tuna, marlin, and small sharks. It can grow between 1.05m to 2.20m in size and weight is upto 75lbs. Fangtooth fish usually preys on smaller fishes, crustaceans, and even larger fish and even squids. The species has compressed bodies along with huge heads and enormous jaws.

14. Ferret

Ferrets are small mammals that belong to the weasel family. It can grow upto 20 inches in length and the average weight is between 1.5 to 4 pounds where males are larger than females. Ferrets are scientifically known as Mustela putorius furo which means smelly little thief because it produces a musky smell produced in the anal glands and a natural instinct to steal and hide various things. They have poor eyesight but an excellent sense of smell and hearing. The average lifespan is between 7 to 10 years in captivity.


15. Fin whale

Fin whales are the second largest whale species on planet Earth followed by a blue whale and can be seen across all the world’s oceans. The fin whale species can grow between 75 to 85 feet and the average weight is between 40 to 80 tons. The average lifespan of fin whales is between 80 to 90 years in the wild. The name of the fin whales came from prominent and hooked dorsal fins found near their tails. They are also one of the fastest of all great whales that can swim at a speed of 23 miles per hour (23 kmph). Its is one of the popular animals that start with F.

16. Fire-bellied toad

A fire-bellied toad is a group of six species of small frogs that belong to the genus Bombina. The frog species are brightly colored red- or yellow-and-black patterns on the toads and hence the name. It can grow between 3.8 to 6.3 cm and the average weight is between 28 to 56 gms. The diet is primarily based on small insects, worms, and mollusks. The average lifespan is up to 20 years which can go as long as 30 years. Males and females can be distinguished by their rougher backs and thicker forearms.
